Welcome to my web site, which has information on my business along with details of my own restoration projects. Impatient visitors can jump to the links for the other pages, for the rest there is a brief history of my work.
The business started part time in 1980 to manufacture wooden propellers for the homebuilt and light aviation market, I gradually built up my number of approved designs and customer base until I was able to go into it on a full time basis. About this time I started my first aeroplane project, A FRED, which for those who don’t know is a small single seat high wing light plane powered by a converted VW car engine.
Over the years I have been involved with many homebuilt both for customers and friends including – Taylor Mono, VP1, Currie Wot, Isaacs Fury, KR2 to name but a few.
I have also worked on may interesting ‘vintage’ types including – Sokol M1c, Spartan Arrow, Tiger Moth, Miles Messenger, again just a few. There have also been many museum projects; both restorations and the new build of replicas, these range from a replica Austin Whippet biplane from 1919 to a Vampire jet, with many interesting types in between.
Sadly today I no longer make propellers as that side of the business dropped off to where it was uneconomical to continue but it means I can concentrate on the restoration and repair of aeroplanes. In the workshop at the moment is a replica Percival Mew Gull for a customer in the USA, and I am involved in the restoration a number of Warbirds including P-51 Mustang, P-47 Thunderbolt and T-6 Texan/Harvards. To see the progress on these choose one from the list below.
Thank you for your interest and I hope you enjoy your visit.
